Dancing is better exercise than walking. Ballroom dancing burns 210 to 385 calories per hour. More vigorous Western or Swing Dancing burns up to 400 calories per hour. Walking 2.5 to 4.5 miles burns about 210 to 315 calories per hour. In addition, dance classes are an excellent way to meet people and have a great time!

Depression that fails to respond to antidepressants may indicate a deficiency of the B Vitamin 'Folic Acid' (Folate). In a study of 213 depressed people, the antidepressant "fluoxetine" (Prozac) was less effective in those with low folate than in those with normal folate.

Self Defense: If you don't respond to an antidepressant, ask your doctor to check your folate level.
